Brookville Lake Resort Weekend Update Print E-mail

Monday, 07 June 2010 01:17

On Saturday June 5, 2010, we spent the day at Brookville Lake Resort in Liberty, Indiana.  We were invited over (thanks to Frank, Gary, and the BLR board of directors!) to host a golf cart service clinic, since several of the golf cart owners at BLR were in need of some repairs and upgrades.

Our plan was to bring as much of the shop with us as possible.  So we loaded up our enclosed trailer with parts, tools, and supplies.  And we brought one of our rollback trucks that was loaded up with some complete golf carts for sale (plus a couple that we had already serviced in our Vandalia shop and were ready to be returned to customers at BLR).  In addition to Power Equipment Solutions owner Keith Hunter, our crew also included technicians Scott and Bruce, webmaster John, John's wife (Jen), and their dog (Patty).

Since we had published a 10:00am start time, we figured that we'd be there plenty early if we arrived at 8:30am to get unloaded and set up.  However, as soon as drove through the front gate, we found customers waiting for us, so we got to work as soon as we parked.  Believe it or not, we started off busy and only got busier as the day went on.  At 2:00pm, we literally still had a line of people waiting to place their order!

To say the least, it was a great day for us.  We sold 2 complete golf carts and performed many repairs and upgrades.  In some cases, we were able to address some potentially serious safety concerns.  So though it was a long day of hard work, we left there with a sense of pride and accomplishment, after having helped so many people.

Thanks again to the residents of Brookville Lake Resort.  It was a pleasure to serve you.  We'll be back again on July 10 to perform more service and repairs - and we'll be bringing over even more complete golf carts and accessories to sell.  So please come see us again!
