Five Star 1500 lb. Capacity Folding Aluminum Loading Ramps

These Five Star 1500-pound capacity folding aluminum loading ramps are the best that we've found.  Much beefier and stronger than most comparable ramps, these units are rated at 1500 lbs. each - which can safely handle even an electric golf cart loaded with heavy batteries.  These ramps also feature a longer 4-inch tailgate lip with rubber pads - which provides an extra measure of safety (the longer lip makes it less likely for the ramp to slip off the tailgate) and a 12-inch width.  And they include security straps.  (Hook one end of the strap to the ramp and the other end to the truck to ensure that the ramp stays in place.)

When in place, these ramps are slightly arched for easy loading.  And they are available in a variety of sizes.  (Note: The 7-foot length is sufficient for standard height trucks, but 4WD or lifted trucks should use the 10-foot length.)
